About Immigration Medical Exams
Hello and welcome to Canada! We hope you are doing well and we are here to help you with obtaining a medical immigration exam! Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada aka IRCC may require you to see a panel physician such as Dr. Tony Salopek to conduct a medical exam during the immigration process to Canada. This exam is designed to get an understanding of your general health and determine if there are any major health concerns. Please bring a list of any medications you’re currently taking and notify us of any past or current medical conditions that required treatment from a physician specialist.
If you plan to visit Canada for six months or less, you are usually not required get a medical examination unless you are planning to work in the public health sector. A medical exam will be required if you plan to visit Canada for more than 6 months.

You will need to bring to your appointment the following documents:

$250 Physicians Fee (Cheapest in Edmonton)
$50 for Chest X-ray
$105 Blood work
The overall cost estimate will be $405
*All prices in Canadian Dollars
Any Immigration Documents you may have (Medical Report Form)
If applying for an Up Front/Express Entry no Immigration Documents are needed
Alberta Health Care Card (if you have]
Passport, Refugee Documents or Government Issued ID (Drivers License)
Bring all Medications you take (Bottles please)
Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses if you wear them
